The CAPBIO Summit is a first-year, region-building convening designed to build awareness of the Greater Sacramento biotech and life sciences ecosystem, articulate how Sacramento fits within California’s broader biotech landscape, and connect the people and institutions needed to grow the sector sustainably.

Hosted at Aggie Square, the Summit positions Sacramento as an emerging translational and workforce-forward biotech hub linking UC Davis research, startup formation, industry partnerships, policy proximity, and inclusive talent pipelines. The event is intentionally scoped to prioritize meaningful connections, shared understanding, and actionable next steps, rather than breadth for breadth’s sake.
